Local Gifts for Locavore Foodies

Written by http://angiedonuts.tumblr.com/ on 21 December 2012.

Has December kept you busy making five-spice pumpkin butter and decking the halls with boughs of local shrubbery, and you find yourself without gifts for all your favorite foodies? It’s not too late to feed their souls with gifts that keep giving, like our ONCE a Week Gift Certificate and/or these awesome CSAs from our favorite friends:

Stocking stuffers and Yankee Swap gifts abound at Cambridge Naturals (MEM tea, Not Your Sugar Mama’s raw chocolate from Martha’s Vineyard),  Sherman Market (Cuppow, Smoked Maine Sea Salt, Fire Cider), City Feed (Alex’s Ugly Sauce, Taza Chocolate, Equal Exchange Coffee), and Formaggio (Bluegrass Soy Sauce, ARIA Olive Oil and of course, local artisanal CHEESE!)

And instead of that requisite bottle of vino, why not bring your hosts a bottle of suds from Pretty Things, Mystic Saison (perfect for popping the cork on NYE) or Slumbrew. Get ‘em at the Wine & Cheese Cask and, while you're at it, pop over to the Biscuit for baked bites sure to delight.

Testimonials

"When my wife went back to work three months after having our first child, we found ourselves eating takeout for weekday dinners four or even five times a week. It took a toll on our finances and our mental and physical health. Then we discovered ONCE a Week. Now we eat easy, delicious, interesting, and locally sourced dinners -- and for far less than we were spending on all that takeout. Every Tuesday is like Christmas when we eagerly look to see what we'll be eating that week. Thanks, JJ & Co., for solving weekday dinners for us."
